It’s Friday and it’s October, so we’ve got beer on the brain. Fortunately, there’s a weekend of tasting ahead of us.
This Sunday, October 6, Frank Falcinelli and Frank Castronovo of Frankies and Prime Meats will celebrate the final day of Oktoberfest with “a mini Brooklyn version of what you get in Germany.”
From noon to 6 p.m., the Frankies garden at 457 Court Street will be transformed into a beer garden, where Frank and Frank will serve sausages, whole roasted chicken, oysters, pretzels, hot spiced cider, mulled wine, and lots and lots of beer. Weisswurst, Bratwurst, Jagerwurst, and Dry Aged Beef will be made in-house with meats from local purveyors, including Raven and Boar.
Entrance to Frankies & Prime Meats Oktoberfest is free, but you may not want to show up empty-handed. “We’re really into people having their own mugs,” the Franks told us, “so make sure to BYO stein.”
